ABOUT THE PROJECT

A practice in impermanence.

Black Metal Buddha brings the stark visual language of black metal into conversation with Buddhist themes of impermanence, mortality, non-self, and contemplative awareness.

Dark imagery, clear intent

Skulls, decay, eclipses, ravens, mountains, and ritual forms can look severe. Here they function as reminders that bodies, identities, possessions, moods, and worlds are temporary.

Respect over costume

The project draws inspiration from Buddhist philosophy and visual symbolism without claiming to represent a lineage, teacher, or institution. Supporting text is written to remain readable, grounded, and respectful.

Made only after proof

Each design will be physically sampled before public sale. Fine lines, type, placement, garment quality, and wash durability will be checked before the store accepts payments.
